Micro Bite Description

Fake news can infiltrate the workplace through various channels, such as internal communication platforms, emails, or word-of-mouth. It can be used to spread rumours, manipulate opinions, or create a hostile work environment. Fake news can harm productivity, damage trust among colleagues, and even impact business decisions if inaccurate information is relied upon.

This micro bite draws on theories of media studies, information literacy, and cognitive biases. It emphasises the importance of scepticism, fact-checking, and source verification.
